The final run of Kawasaki's original sport-touring GTR 1000 Concours before the 2007 Concours 14 replaced it. It kept the 1000 cc transverse four, shaft drive and UNI-TRAK rear suspension with little change from the late 1990s. Reviewers described it as comfortable and well suited to touring, but dated in handling, braking and styling.
